The City Beach is located in the heart of town on Lake Granbury. The beach includes a Splash Park, kayak rentals in the summer, and thatched roof picnic pavilions. The City Beach is within walking distance to the historic downtown square where there are many places to eat and shop.

Shanley Park is a beautiful landscaped area with fountains, pathways, and bridges in the historic downtown area. It surrounds a winding creek and it located directly behind City Hall. The park is used for concerts, festivals, photographs, and weddings throughout the year. At Christmas time, it glows with many decorations and lights.
