TSAHC’s Homes for Texas Heroes Program helps eligible public-service professionals purchase a home anywhere in Texas.

The program may serve teachers, veterans, police officers, corrections officers, EMS personnel, firefighters, and other qualifying buyers.

A special tax credit that may refund a portion of the mortgage interest paid each year.

  • May create long-term tax savings
  • For qualifying first-time buyers or those who meet the three-year rule
  • Must be used with TSAHC down payment assistance
  • Free for eligible Texas Heroes

Fixed-Rate Loan + DPA

Fixed-rate mortgage options may be paired with down payment assistance.

  • Multiple loan, rate, and assistance options
  • DPA may be up to 5% of the loan amount
  • May be structured as a grant or second-lien loan
  • No first-time homebuyer requirement
