Britton Park is a self-pay day-use park with a 2-lane boat ramp, restrooms, and a parking lot. Guests may fish from the bank or launch a boat.

Central Bark, the first dog park in Grand Prairie, features three exercise areas designated for dogs. Each of the fenced areas—one for small dogs, one for large dogs and one reserved for rotating to preserve the turf—includes shade structures with benches and water fountains for both the dogs and people.

EpicCentral is a 172-acre park and home of The Epic, Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, The Summit, and Grand Prairie’s Public Safety Building. PlayGrand Adventures, is a free all inclusive 10-acre playground designed for all ages and all abilities. Fish Creek Linear Park
The trail winds along Fish Creek connect several neighborhoods together. The 3 mile concrete trail with rest stops, a full basketball court, a 1/2 basketball court, 4 playgrounds, a pavilion, 2 multi-purpose fields, a practice backstop, and individual picnic tables.

Good Link Trail / Mike Lewis Park / C.P. Waggoner Park
The Link Park is a linear park that connects Mike Lewis Park to C.P. Waggoner Park with paved trails, boardwalks, and a 270 foot long bridge spanning Johnson Creek. The Texas Department of Transportation removed 10.3 acres of parkland from Waggoner Park for the construction of Highway 161, so in return, they purchased 75 acres of land for the Good Link Park and funded the entire project.

Lake Parks on Joe Pool Lake offers land and water trails to enjoy while visiting the parks. Loyd Park trail reaches 11 miles of trail and houses entry for the Walnut Creek Paddling Trail.

Lone Star Trail
The Lone Star Trail is an attractive 3.2-mile trail that begins at Story Road/Hunter Ferrell across from Running Bear Park and ends at the City of Grand Prairie's Lone Star Park entertainment complex at Beltline/I-30 which contains the Verizon Theatre, a horse racing track, and a minor league baseball stadium. The trail is now a part of a larger connection with Irving's Campion Trail. In all, these two trails and the new connection create a continuous ten-mile stretch of trail.

On the west shore of Joe Pool Lake, Loyd Park covers about 791 acres of native Texas landscape. Centrally located, camping at Loyd Park is conveniently located close to the major DFW attractions. Individual campsite sizes are large and each one has a picnic table and pavilion, fire ring, and more Texas tranquility than you can handle!

On the northwest shore of Joe Pool Lake, Lynn Creek Park covers about 784 acres. Park amenities include a white sand swimming beach, playground, restrooms, showers, two boat ramps with eight lanes, a concession stand, almost 100 picnic sites, group picnic pavilions, and a sand volleyball court.
