Lake Texoma

Lake Texoma is one of the largest reservoirs in the United States, the 12th-largest US Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) lake, and the largest in USACE Tulsa District. Lake Texoma is formed by Denison Dam on the Red River in Bryan County, Oklahoma, and Grayson County, Texas, about 726 miles (1,168 km) upstream from the mouth of the river.

Friendship Park

Conveniently located on FM 120, Friendship Park offers playground equipment, a gazebo, picnic tables and benches, a historical bridge, restroom facility, and plenty of open space for activities such as soccer and baseball. Several community events are held in the park each year including the annual Frontier Days festival.

The Ball Park/Festival Park

Located just off FM 120, The Ball Park includes two 200ft. youth sized baseball fields and one 180ft. youth sized softball field, a concession/restroom facility and playground equipment. This complex is used primarily by the Pottsboro Youth Association which has over 350 area youths participating in organized baseball and softball seasons.

James G. Thompson Park

Located west of FM 996 just south of the railroad tracks, this park opened to the public in September 2012, the newest of the three parks, this 28 acre multi-use facility offers a wide variety of outdoor activities which include three soccer fields, one 300ft. baseball and one 270ft. softball fields which can adjusted to meet individual needs, fishing pond, walking trail, basketball court, playground area, gazebo, two picnic shelters, and improvements are still being made today. Park gazebos and pavilions can be reserved.
