A Chicago native who relocated to Texas in 2008, Cristina Olivia Rosenthal built her career across corporate financial compliance, underwriting, credit risk, structured finance, in the Real Estate Industry and Asset Based Lending (ABL). Cristina brings over 20 years of experience in real estate structured finance, specializing in complex real estate investment and financing structures in both the U.S. and cross-border transactions across Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Cristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Jurisprudence from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Her Jesuit educational foundation centered on excellence, service, personal growth, and purpose-driven leadership shaped her early legal and court-based experience.

During law school, Cristina gained practical exposure to the Circuit Court of Cook County under the Honorable Charles S. Beach II, Chief Judge. Her court background included Real Estate & Tax Services through the County Clerk, the Chancery Division focused on Mortgage Foreclosure, and Eviction Court involving Forcible Entry & Detainer matters.

This experience strengthened her understanding of property rights, foreclosure processes, public records, housing matters, documentation, compliance, and the procedural side of real estate.

Cristina later served in Multifamily Real Estate Underwriting with the City of Dallas, evaluating project feasibility, risk exposure, municipal housing policy, HUD regulatory standards, and TDHCA Qualified Allocation Plan requirements. LIHTC 4% and 9% underwriting Multifamily Real Estate Projects over $50MM+ under HUD regulations and Municipality debt.

Her work contributed to affordable and workforce housing projects involving layered capital stacks, tax credit equity, tax-exempt bond financing, public funding sources, and total project capitalization exceeding $80 million.

She also collaborated with the Dallas Public Facility Corporation and Dallas Housing Finance Corporation to support mixed-income housing, workforce housing, and tax-exempt financing strategies.

While at USAA, Cristina understood the unique challenges of military life such as deployments, relocations (PCS), and overseas assignements. Supporting the military community isn't just the right thing to do its vital to our future and most importantly it was a privelege to serve service members of all of the United States Armed Forces.
